How to Use Makeup to Look Younger
We’ve all heard about the importance of avoiding the sun – and many of us have learned to wear our sunscreen and hats on a regular basis. But even so, after we reach a certain age – which is different from one individual to another – we begin noticing signs of aging. Our skin begins losing that natural glow and radiant look of youth. We may also find there are other signs of aging. Fortunately, there are some ways to use makeup to look younger – you may not be able to turn back the hands of time, but you can look years younger.
To combat the loss of glowing, radiant and youthful skin, you may want to avoid powders and switch to liquid or creamy foundations or tinted moisturizers. These products can give the skin a sheen that helps to recover its glow.
Another issue many of us deal with as we age is dark circles under our eyes. Fortunately there are many concealers available for this. With the use of high quality concealers the problem will not be noticed.
You might also be dealing with sagging eyelids. This is a common problem. Brightening your eyelids will make the problem less noticeable. To brighten your eyelids try using light colored eye shadows. Use the lightest color near the tear duct, next to your nose area and just below your brows. Use a darker color on the outside of your eyes and a medium color in the center area to create a blend between the colors.
Use eyeliner to help open up your eyes. Give a slight lift or wing on the outer end. And create full lashes, using 2 coats of mascara. Finish off by curling the lashes.
Apply a blush in a complementary color. Cream blushes will add a shimmer that can make your face look fresh and youthful.
A shiny lipgloss in an appealing color is another important addition to your youthful look. In general, darker colors should be avoided, as they can be aging.
